Mom,

Haulin' chalk.
driving!!

The girls moved out.
Anchor tried to sweep up Brevick in his box.

"Is one of my narwhals upside-down?"

Earrings.

Her narwhals are Earrings.

IT'S A GIRDLE!!

William just walked into the house from football practice wearing a t-shirt,  sunglasses, and his underwear.  Which he emphatically declared was NOT his underwear,  it was a girdle.  LOL. That's not what it looked like.

Sleepy Sunday

Today was just that. We went to church.  We ate leftover treats and we took some good naps.

It was lovely.

We ended with writing our testimonies and so card games. Play doh competitions and checkers matches.

Good news the burgers were only on fire for a little minute so William is getting better!

It's Great to be 8

Happy Birthday Brevick!!! Oh my goodness we LOVE you so much! I just cannot believe that you are 8 today. That feels too old. We referred to you as officially a man child now so good for you to have made it this far.

You chose to be baptized this morning to take upon yourself the responsibilities that come with making covenants with our Heavenly Father. You are ready for them. You love to be challenged and are always ready for the next step in your life. You want to level up in everything you do. You also received the gift of the Holy Ghost and a blessing. In the blessing you were blessed to rise up to lead those around you. That your friends are looking to you to guide them. That you will be healthy and strong and have the desire to serve those around you. I just thought it was beautiful because it reminded me how much you do stand out. You are tall and athletic, strong and powerful, sweet and understanding, kind and inclusive smart and coachable. I love that you say hi to everyone and are excited when you see people around you. I am so glad I get to be part of your life.

Today we had many family members come to support Brevick in his decision to be baptized. It was fun for the kids to play afterwards running all over the house. I think that is when they are the happiest, just running. We took the rest of the day off and relaxed.

Baptism Day cuteness. What a darling little man child.

His best buddy came to support him too. It is fun to have a friend so close. (Just for scale, his best friend is more than a year older than he is...)

Present time. Remember wrapping paper is all about reduce, reuse, recycle. **at least the towel was clean**
Crashed hard.  At 6 pm.
Cake time

It was a fun Pokemon cake that the kids decorated for him. Unfortunately the cake was depressed and didn't have enough support. It stayed standing until we cut it up so it has that going for it.

P-Day

Brevick is getting baptized tomorrow. He is also turning 8 tomorrow. That means today I am exhausted. We started the day out right with running William to weights at 0600. That was followed with a hearty breakfast of cereal and scripture listening at 0730. After which we adjourned for 3 hours. Ben went to work, the kids went on their tablets, and I went to sleep. We picked up where we left off and started to prep for a party day.

We baked a lot.

Cleaned not enough.

Cooked a little.

Sculpted with fondant a lot.

Celebrated national donut day. **Thanks Sallee**

Laughed a lot.

Argued sparingly.

Listened to loud music.

Listened to quiet music.

Wondered who's Alexa that music was coming from.

Stayed up way too late.

Wished we had been more prepared.

Regretted our life decisions.

Wondered if McDonalds caters.

Hoped for the best.

Ate cereal for dinner.

Danced before, during and after the shower.

You know, the usual.

Summer Break Began

With an argument that it is not really summer yet so we can't call it summer break, it's still spring.

We are very detail oriented here. Regardless of the season the day was hot and sunny so the kids enjoyed walking rhe dog, a short bike ride and some roller blading. We also did some sidewalk chalk that got all over our white sun-bathing dog so now we call her "Orange-butt" affectionately of course.

William got to work on his paid position as our lawn care specialist and weedwhacked the back half of the yard. It took 4 hours. He is sunburned,  sore, underpaid, and freshly determined to go to college.

The other kids got their Khan academy done and daily reading and then much to their dismay they had chores to do. (Unpaid, we aren't THOSE parents) then the boys stayed home and relaxed while Emmerlyn and I went to pick her our some new glasses and then do some shopping.

She picked cute ones for sure. Also the pricey ones naturally.  I think they make her look older so that's a little bittersweet.  In the excitement we also caught the aftermath of a high-speed chase so that was wild.

We got home in time to put dinner together which was good except I used the vegan cheese which smelled terrible so that was not so good but now we know.

Anchor slept on the couch until 6 pm so we are never sleeping again. Which is life ya know.

Last day of school

So we celebrated while the kids were still at school.

With McDonald's per Anchor's request.
Emmerlyn spent a lot of effort getting her best most practical outfit put together the night before so she could have more time to argue with her brothers in the morning.
Anchor spent the evening building a dangerously leaned tower of books.
They had a great day and they are now ready for summer!!
