Girls Camp

Well, this week I spent at Girls Camp. It was an experience in and of itself and getting there proved to be quite a challenge but that is a story for another day. For now I will move on to the kidlets. The boys were thrilled to have their aunts and uncle come and babysit/play with them for the week, I think they had a lot of fun. William felt like he was a pretty big boy and he kind of is now. Emmerlyn wasn't as thrilled she did not like that I left her with what she felt like were strangers. She was pretty irritated with me when I got home and after her initial hug she would not come to me or talk to me and she cried if Ben tried to take her away. She is doing better now that we are back into our routine.
I just missed his little face, he is getting ready for naptime and had to have a snake to snuggle. Weirdo.
Look at how big she looks! Her hair is getting so long. I really missed her sweet little voice and her gooey kisses.
My big grown up boy getting ready for T-ball yesterday. He is really getting the hang of it now and it is fun to watch him enjoy it. He really liked playing cards with the older kids and their friends and staying up REALLY late. I missed him chatting to me constantly.
The boys started swimming lessons this week and they are loving it. Charley is having a blast just playing in the water and William is actually learning how to swim which is fun for him. Emmerlyn is too little for swimming lessons and she is pretty preturbed about it. She was begging for her swimsuit this morning and wouldn't let me put on her normal clothes so I gave in. I think that she felt like if she had her suit on when we got there that I would just let her go because she tried to run in with Charley. Crazy girl. Instead we watched and got eaten alive even through our layers of bugspray and our clothes (seriously I have multiple bites on my back). Maybe they will be better tomorrow. . . .
It is so nice to be home and I think that it is a good thing that I am not gone all the time. It has taken these last 2 days to find the floor in my house :).

Early

I am blogging early this week (can you believe it! this should be a marked day in history) because I am leaving at 6:00 in the morning to go pick up my siblings in Billings and then on Wednesday I am leaving for girls camp for the rest of the week so pretty much if I don't do it now it won't happen. Our week has been pretty steady but it has been a good one. William had another t-ball game tonight and he did great. The team only had 5 kids show up tonight so they had to send in the second string which was Charley and the little brother to another kid on the team. Charley was super excited and he batted really well but struggled actually getting to first base. He just wanted to run so he just took off and ran way past and then instead of coming back he was going straight on to second. He did better on the next time he got to bat. He wasn't as amused being out in the field after a few minutes he left to go slide and came back when it was time to bat again. He had lots of fun and was pretty proud of himself. William did great getting the ball an was almost running to the bases today.
These flowers William picked to take to his grandmas' when we go to visit in July I told him that they wouldn't live until then and he said "mom, they are dead already cuz I picked 'em so it doesn't matter". True. But we took a picture anyway because I think they would be completely decayed by then
This is what Charley picked for his Grandmas. You know you love it. We took a picture because even though this one might last until we get there it will take up too much space in the car.
She didn't have any flowers to pick but she wanted to send her pretty smile and wild hair.
They were testing out the tent in case I needed to take it to girls camp. It worked great for them and they think they are now ready for the big leagues camping outside (bummer for me :).
All the booklets I made ready for Girls Camp. I was going to do the covers in color but my printer refused to give in so I just went with it.
 Have a good week!

And 1 more thing> > > > >

Ben just found out he passed his 3rd CPA test!
only 1 more and we are done forever. . . .

Not in the Mood

As the title says that pretty much explains it. I may blog again later with the couple pictures we have from this last week but just in case I don't ever get the motivation. We are doing great. We have been staying pretty busy this summer so far but we are loving it. We drove 2.5 hrs away on Sunday for our Stake Conference and it was good. The kids were really good in the car on the way there and back but they were AWFUL during conference complete with Charley lifting up his shirt and flashing people and then getting dusty little footprints up the back of the missionary's suit coat who was sitting in front of us. Oh well I am glad that we went. William had his first TeeBall game of the season last night and he did really good. He had some good hits and was getting the ball pretty good. He is still a little bummed he didn't get to play baseball this year but he is having fun in tee-ball so he is ok.
Just a quick glimpse into Charley's everyday life. Yesterday he came out of the bathroom and he had his pants pulled up good and high and he was ready to go play. When he walked into the playroom William felt like he had his pants up a little too high so he tugged them down just a little bit to where he thought was an appropriate place for them to sit. Well Charley being his little self said "here William I will pull them down for ya!" and promptly pulled his pants down to his ankles "now they're low". He refused to pull them up until William came and told me to go in there and then he pulled them up real fast! I think he is just trying to show William who is really running the show here now that William is out of school for the summer. Crazy Kid!
Ok fine, here are the pictures from this week (I know I won't do it later who am I kidding.)
Emmerlyn felt like I needed some crackers so she poured me a bowl all by herself and then brought this heaping bowl to me. Then she wouldn't let me eat them! (not that I wanted them, they aren't very good)
She is getting super hard to dress because she wants to do it herself  so she spends most of the day trying to put her pants and socks on. She is working hard on it and almost has the hang of it.

The boys were watching to see the train cars that Grandpa Rydalch said would be coming through Glasgow on the 3:00 train. Sure enough they did. The boys and Emmerlyn were super pumped about seeing it. I am definitely convinced that sometimes it is the little things in life. :)
Goggle love. The kids found their goggles the other day and they have been pretty inseparable.
Emmerlyn even brought hers to exercise class and then wore them around her neck all day except for nap time.

This is how Emmerlyn entertained herself in the car on the way home from stake conference. We just call her the Grinch because she was super grouchy (she should have SLEPT) and she was green. Silly girl will not color on paper to save her life!

Last Day of Kindergarten!

Our biggest event of the last week was that it was William's last day of Kindergarten! That when SO FAST! I think he had a good first year of school and he definitely learned a lot. It has been nice to have him home for the last few days. He got to go on a field trip and then on the last day of school his teacher did a pizza party and he has been talking about that everyday since. He had a lot of fun. He is pretty pumped for the summer break but it has been super rainy and windy since school got out so he hasn't been able to to be out much.

He hadn't been home very long before he crashed on the couch. I still think that all day kindergarten 5 days a week is too much for this age. He is pretty tired and a little cranky when he gets home everyday.
Emmerlyn is sporting her first big girl ponytail. She had a few fly-aways in the front but I could get most of her hair in it. It made her look SO grown up so I don't think she will be sporting it very often at this point. :)
Hey family do you recognize this! She was helping me go through some of my old stuff in search of my girls camp manual and she found it and thought she needed it. Poor thing needs to be washed!
