Primary Program

So this last Sunday was the ward Primary program and I tell you what you missed out!!! First of all I love how strong the Spirit is on Primary Sunday I think you can always feel it. William did great giving his 2 parts and looking up and reading his 2 scriptures, he was very professional and ready to move on to bigger and better things :). He looked great up there in his little grey suit. Charley gave his part very well also and everybody could understand him and he spoke loud and right into the microphone. Charley also had all of the songs down great. So great that he was singing the loudest out of every kid up there he also began adding actions to each song and by the end of the the program he seemed to be trying to lead the congregation. Needless to say we were laughing so hard there there tears which is so hard to do when you can't make any noise! We love our kiddos and are so glad that they have such a great experience in primary. I love to hear them singing their songs around the house! We also have a terrible cold going around so we are all tired and frustrated right now but hopefully we can start getting over that soon.
With her big brothers in school I am trying to spend more time playing with Emmerlyn which works if Brevick will sleep which he does every once in awhile. This last week we painted nails I love the way her blue and silver turned out.
We also played DR with is her current favorite activity this is her in her Dr office with all of her 'doctoring' stuff. We should probably get her some toys that are a little closer to the real thing.
This guy is officially in cub scouts (now that he has his uniform which he was so impatient for it to get here that he wanted me to call the company and see why it wasn't here yet. It only took a week!) They are selling popcorn for their fundraiser (so if you are interested. . . .) so this is him all ready to go out. Yes the weather got colder, it was in the 90s at the beginning of the week and the 40-50s at the end. His soccer game last night was pretty chilly but the kids loved it because they could play and not get eaten alive. I still saw some bugs but hopefully they are on the way out!

Aren't they cute! I really need to get a real family picture done but until then. . .

livin' life

That is pretty much what we are doing. Ben is busy. I am tired. William has started soccer and LOVES it. He had some pretty good kicks and stops in his game on Monday he did great. We were miserable and ended up watching from the car because the bugs were so bad. biting through my clothes even my jeans I have never wished for a freeze so hard in my life! Charley is loving school and starting to learn some words to spell. Emmerlyn is missing her big brothers but we have been able to play a couple games together and have some toy playing time (at the expense of my house :). Brevick has been growing and crying. He has been SO fussy but we are making it. We started doing a massage right before bed-time and I think that might be helping a little bit if nothing else it makes him smile for about 5 minutes :) but we love him he has the most adorable smile when is happy.

Emmerlyn got an apron from our neighbor and I think it is adorable (and I have been meaning to make her one but have not found the time so this has saved me!!!!)
I love the Bumbo. Brevick does too. He likes to be part of what is going around and he likes to be sitting up or standing.
Emmerlyn desperately wanted him to wear this bib. So he did. Some day he may not be real happy about this picture!
The kids went fishing on Saturday and had lots of fun I don't think they caught anything but they saw a snake so that is about as good!
The Box Elder bugs are starting to collect on the front of our house so that must mean it is fall. We need to spray or something!

Back To School part 2

So ya it took me awhile but here we are. Charley started preschool a couple of weeks ago and he LOVES it (I knew he would) So far I like his teacher a lot I feel like they are really learning. He can even spell a few words which is great. At home we have been working on his addition skill on his off days and he is really starting to pick it up.

This little girl really wanted to go to school and has been telling everybody she is going to home-school. We have been doing her colors, shapes and letters, while her big brothers are gone and she sure hates being left behind
His first day of school complete outfit (plus a magnet???)

They all like to feed Brevick because they like to be big helpers and because they like to see how fast he can chug the bottle (which is pretty fast) *note the neck pillow Emmerlyn has ready to hold him with :)
Reading a story to he brother sometimes she can be so sweet to him.
Sneaky little stinker I am beginning to think I have lost the thumb battle.
Homecoming!!!! We love homecoming because the kids get so much candy at the parade.
Charley didn't want to be pictured so he was hiding.
Playing  a couple rounds of UNO attack (our favorite family game) it is always exciting!
The parade. Charley's school did a float can you spot him?

Ben has been super busy at work (that seems to be a recurring theme) and we have been just trying to find a routine at home with a really fussy 3 month old boy and 3 busy other kids so as usual I am tired.
Emmerlyn was telling Brevick today that he was going to have a baby sister and she said "I gonna farts the baby out then it comes" I almost fell off my chair. I don't know where she gets this stuff!

Progress

This last week has seemed to be super busy for some reason school always seems to bring that. It has been a good week though and we have been doing lots of stuff.
This guy is getting so big! Look at how he is starting to fill out the car-seat. He also slept from 10:30-5:30 which let me tell you first of all it was AMAZING!! and also he is the record breaker for all of our kids and sleeping through the night. So far it has proven to be a one hit wonder but hopefully it means he is going to start sleeping better.
The Goob tube had his preschool open house this last Wednesday where he met his teacher, got to explore his classroom and scored himself a nice pair of Cheetah (vision) sunglasses (this resulted in sheer devastation from the other two who's sunglasses were tragically lost in the move amoungest other things like the keys to our gun safe) He is pumped to start school tomorrow.
These guys helped me make ham stuffed pretzel bites for dinner the other day. Only about 1/2 the ham made it into the pretzels but we are going with a win on that one.
 Bike gear
Because these days a helmet just isn't enough
You must be safe and prepared for all kinds of crashes.
P.S. Emmerlyn lucked out and we found a pair of sunglasses at shopko on clearance that fit her. They didn't have any that would fit my poor huge headed son William. He however got a new bike helmet and pads so I think they are about equal and we will continue looking for some new shades.
And finally after all summer of practice, a nice new bike, and the proper safety equipment. . . . . He can ride a 2 wheeler! He was even riding to the park and back tonight! Yay we are so proud.
This guy also has a great new bike and some 'biking gloves' and has gotten a lot more stable on his training wheels although he doesn't feel he is quite ready for the big hill to the park and in his attempt tonight he had a small collision with a parked car.
William wanted to show his fighter pose.
I told her I was going to take her picture and she said WAIT I'M NOT READY!!!!
Slipped her cool glasses down and "ta-DAH, I'm ready now" and she was off. We are now working on her riding a bike with pedals but she had no problem scooting off to the park.
She wants to go to school so she was getting ready for "homeschool" so cute, she only has another year.
Chunky dude. He laughed for the first time this week when we were playing patty cake and he has the funniest smile he likes to stick his tongue out with it.
We had a movie night on Saturday the kids were all set.
Her church outfit (because everybody needs to wear faux fur in August!)
Getting ready to go out to lunch today she was sporting some pearls (and the backpack filled with random odds and ends accompanies us every time we leave the house)
In other news this week Ben finally finished his audits and got the weekend off to relax and finish painting the house (we just have a little bit of trim left!!!) and do a little fishing and clean out the garage a little :) It was kinda nice to have him around.
I have been keeping up with the chaos and to add to it I got called to be the Young Women's president this Sunday so I am excited/overwhelmed for that. I think it will work out somehow.
Have a great week!
