Getting Better Days

I am pleased to say that the kids are FINALLY getting over this nasty cold virus that they have had. It hit Charley pretty good and he is definitely on for the misery loves company attitude. He is still pretty grouchy but now it is just because he is tired. Both Ben and I are fighting whatever virus they had. The weeks seem a little longer now that Ben is working more hours but it really isn't too bad compared with what we used to do when I worked full time nights, Ben worked full time days and went to school. We can do this until April no problem. We just have Emmerlyn pictures this week, I am not sure why but I didn't get any of the boys.
Just a cute little Emmerlyn with a funny little smile on her chubby cheeks, she is really starting to interact and laugh and I love just talking to her.
I have to make sure I strap her in her bouncy chair or she escapes, William says she is trying to get out so she can go walking. It kind of looks like that with the way she moves her legs.
When she couldn't get out she worked on sucking her thumb, she can actually get it into her mouth sometime but it takes some work (and some bracing with her other had as seen below) a lot of the time she gets her pinky in and is VERY disappointed.
I took this picture today, I just thought she was looking so grown up. She is going through a growth spurt right now and it is kind of bitter-sweet because I want her to grow but I want her to be little and sweet at the same time. Enjoy it while it lasts right. These are the days.

Sick Days

I put this blanket up to block the sun. She never falls asleep in her swing but she did this time and I think it is so sweet how she is holding on to the edge of the blanket.
This is William building a robot. He is all about doing this and he gets Charley to march around singing "we are robots, we are robots" over and over again.

It happens to the best of us. The kids have come down with a nasty cough, first it was just William and he does great with being sick he doesn't really even slow down enough to let it affect him. Now all 3 kids have coughs, we kind of sound like an Emphysema ward. I think that they are getting better though and we should be up and running again in another day or two. These are just the kids playing around. I love the one with Charley playing the untunable piano. He loves to "practice" and plays all the time. William is learning to play Hot Cross Buns but he doesn't like to play as much as Charley. We are shopping for a decent digital piano now and we will see how things go. We don't know what we are going to do with this one yet.

The Glasgow House

Our new house. Cute I know and much better for us than our last one. The layout is better. It is older but warmer and we like it. We also love that it is in town ish.

Some neighbors watching us. This is the view from the kitchen window, yep that porch you see belongs to our landlord (weird). These 2 little deer are usually hanging around the house somewhere. The boys were excited we caught them on camera.

Yay. I actually completed a project! This is monumental because it doesn't happen very often. I made this for Emmerlyn's bows to organize them. Next I will be making a matching one with clothespins for her headbands.

Remember the other day when I said it was cold? That was nothin'. This was Wednesday and it was -18 degrees with a wind chill that made it feel like -30 at noon when I took William to school and you better believe that was COLD. I think I bundled the kids up good though because Charley didn't even wiggle in his sleep when I carried him from the car to the house (lots of layers). he is sound asleep, he didn't wake up until I put him in his bed. So goes my life.
( When I woke Charley up to go pick up William he popped up and said "Mom! the zizzards (lizards) are coming hurry mom!" the whole way to pick up William he kept looking for lizards. here in the frigid prairie of Montana. I wished him the best of luck.)
Warming up with some hot chocolate after picking up William from school. They love it when I make it in the hot chocolate maker with milk.

This is what I miss

William pulled this picture of Pippy up on the computer this morning. We miss her too.
These are the pictures we put up of our house before we decided to rent it out. This is what I am missing today my beautiful Rigby house. I guess it is true you don't know what you have until it is gone. What we have now will have to do and we are adjusting. Pictures of the house coming soon.

Too Cold

Emmerlyn making her excited face to play with her toys. She loves playing in her chair and having lots going on around her which is pretty much a given when Charley is awake.
This is just Charley. I asked him to smile for the camera and this is what I got. I know I have posted this before but it makes me chuckle every time I see it. We love our Goobies!
Charley looking a little disoriented when I went to get him up from his nap. I was a little confused myself when he didn't have any pants on and he was wearing his shirt like this. He asked ME why his shirt wasn't right. Go figure I guess.
Emmerlyn getting ready to take William to preschool yesterday, it was 0 degrees outside so we all bundled up pretty good and I don't think any of the kids even noticed the cold.

William is not pictured this week because he wouldn't let me get a shot of him so we will have to catch him later.

I intended to go out get pictures of our cute little yellow house today and post them but since it has warmed up all the way to -1 degrees out there and it is 1:00 I think that the pictures are going to have to wait until we are already going outside for something else. This last week has been just the same old thing we did go to story time last Thursday at the library and the boys really enjoyed it they have it set up well in the basement of the library so the kids can kind of roam and not get into anything they shouldn't touch. I think we will go again next week. We also had a couple little boys over this morning while their mom exercised and the one is just William's age and the other is a few months younger then Charley. They had a lot of fun playing together and so that will be fun for them to look forward to. We are getting our piano tuned on Thursday and we are excited to see how it does. We are getting into Tax season now and so we are seeing less of Ben then we would like but that is ok it only lasts a little while. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. We have already been in this house for almost 3 weeks!

Emmerlyn is 3 months

Emmerlyn was 3 months old on Saturday that same day she rolled over and we got her to laugh. She is so sweet we adore her. She loves to watch her brothers because they are always going. I can't believe she is getting so big it is going too fast.

Happy Birthday Charley!

Wow! Time is sure going fast now our sweet little Goobies Chocolate is already 2!  I can't believe he has grown so fast he is such a sweet little guy happy everyday of his life with cheeks so chubby I could kiss them until they fall off and long dark eyelashes hiding those playful big blue eyes he is picture perfect. He has really mastered the art of bugging William and getting into EVERYTHING. He loves cars, trucks, tractors, and trains. He also likes to throw anything that could be considered a ball (the apple that William was really enjoying can shoot across the room in an instant). Charley likes to be busy and he is always up to something. He is getting used to the nursery idea and is making through the whole day most of the time now. He loves to look for the Temple (which we don't have in this town but luckily he can substitute many different structures for this.) He loves his baby sister in small doses and he loves to eat. He likes to watch Toy Story, Finding Nemo, or Dora the Explorer but only in the car because he doesn't have time for that in the house. He loves to have stories read he likes to "hold ya" (me hold him) and look at books over and over. He gives great kisses and hugs. He does not like cold weather when we go out he always requests his coat on and zipped and Velcro done up and his hat on no matter what now he is not going to risk getting chilled. He likes to stomp around in his Toy Story snow boots. He loves yogurt but only with no chunks and he loves to use a cracker as a spoon and eat cottage cheese. He loves pretending to go potty and wearing undies but he is not quite ready to wear them full time yet. He just gave up the bottle (not without a fight) and is working on sleeping without it. He likes soft fluffy blankets in his bed and having a car or two in there to play with just in case he gets bored during the night. He warms my heart everyday when he gets up and asks how my sleeps were and he is ready to go. He can count to 12 and is working on his ABCs he is so quick and learning new things everyday and I love it. Happy birthday my sweet angel we love you.
A little hide and seek, he did pretty good huh?

A dump truck cake, I know it isn't much but he loved it.

Opening presents and singing happy birthday. He even sung it to himself

This was William's solution for keeping Charley out of a closet. It worked too pretty genius I think. Go William

So Blessed

I am amazed everyday at how beautiful and wonderful these sweet little children are. These really are little pieces of heaven that we get to have in our home. Even with all of the craziness that having three little ones under the age of 5 around brings we are grateful everyday for our family.

Picture Attempts

These first couple are of Emmerlyn relaxing in her slip after he photo shoot was over.

We all know the secret to getting some great pictures is just taking a lot of shots. In our attempt to get some good shots here are some of the others we got.

Emmerlyn's Blessing

Emmerlyn Ashley Allen was blessed on November 26th 2011 by her Daddy. It was a lovely day and she of course looked beautiful in her blessing dress that was the same dress that I was blessed in made by my mom. It was nice to have my grandparents on the Rydalch side there and Ben's Grandpa and Marva and our parents and most of our siblings. Emmerlyn did great and fussed of course because it wouldn't be a blessing if she didn't right. She is a beautiful sweet baby with lots of personality and opinion and If you couldn't tell we love her a lot.
