Spring!!!!

In case you missed it, last Friday was the first day of spring! My kids were so pumped about it you would have thought that it was Christmas. They had a fun time breaking out their bikes for the first time since the fall. The hopped right on and did great. Emmerlyn is even able to pedal on her own now which is great for my back (if you are picturing me holding her feet and pushing the pedals with them while she rides so that she gets in the rhythm of pedaling then you have it right.) After riding bikes we broke out the sidewalk chalk. They pretty much covered all of our concrete surface area. A couple of the highlights are pictured.
(this is a life-size sketch of Emmerlyn, I think that it is a little off :)

We were busy this weekend but during Ben's lunch hour on Saturday he took the kids fishing. After dinner we watched Big Hero 6 (or whatever that is called) it was good, the kids were really into it and even got a little scared during parts, they have been quoting it all day. On Sunday after church we went on a walk out by the interpretative center and the dam. It helped to burn off a little extra Sunday wiggles (they were all wild during church) and it was nice and quiet. Brevick loves the fresh air but we were dismayed to see a swarm of mosquitoes. They weren't biting but it is only March. Hopefully it will freeze again and kill them off. Since Sunday the weather has been pretty chilly, it even snowed today so now all the kids have cabin fever!

Waiting for Spring. . .

We are waiting desperately for spring to come here. Last week it was beautiful the weather was in the 60s and all the snow went away and the kids played outside everyday. This week it snowed. So goes life. You should of heard the dismay in William's voice when he opened the door to feed the dog and saw that it had snowed. Poor kiddo. He is ready to start riding his bike again. Last week was the same as it has been, just busy. On Saturday I got to go to Billings to take the youth to do baptisms for the dead. Ben had to work so the kids got to go play with friends. It was a good trip just long! On Sunday Ben went to Glendive for a Priesthood meeting so it seemed our weekend came and went without us seeing much of the family all together. This next weekend should be a little better as of right now the only thing we have going is that Ben has to work. We are getting excited for tax season to get over but last night we realized that we already have almost all the days from April 15th to the end of April filled up so I am not really sure when that break is going to come?
Isn't he such a little man? I finally pulled him out of his baby carrier, he was only 2 inches too long for it :/  He is doing good and I think he is trying to cut a tooth, he is more drooly than ever!
The kids are getting excited for the warm weather so they can break out their bikes. William is working hard in school. Charley is still loving preschool and he loves doing reading and math flashcards at home. Emmerlyn is learning her ABCs and being a big help doing her jobs without complaining!

Brevicky

This pudgy baby is 9 months!!!!! Can you believe it? In all honesty I can! He has got to be one of the cutest little people ever though don't you think!
(this adorable picture is right after he ripped a page out! apparently he didn't feel like it applied to him.)
At his 9 month appointment he was
21.2 lbs (30%)
30.5 inches (99%)
He is kind of long and skinny now not so brick shaped :)
He did great at his appointment and was fine as I was getting him all undressed to be weighed until right before I put him on the scale I pulled off his socks, You should have seen the pouted lip and alligator tears (never mind that he was naked up to that point apparently it was the socks being taken off in public that sent him over the edge!)
His is doing really good. He still had no teeth but hopefully sometime in the near future those with start coming through.
He loves to stand and is starting to cruise along furniture.
He loves to eat fruits. He loves to be held but NOT cuddled.
He gives the sweetest snorts against your face when he is excited or showing that he loves you.
He waves bye-bye
he says da-da
I love his dimples
he loves the bath
he wants his bottle to be VERY warm (not hot obviously!)
He likes to be naked
He likes to play when it is quiet and the other kids aren't around
He is wearing size 18 month clothes
He hates shoes and hats
He still loves his binky!
He almost sleeps through the night usually he only wakes up and needs to be laid back down once or twice a night.
He loves to cuddle with his stuffed bunny!
He loves all very soft animals and blankets
He loves to dance by bobbing his head when he hears music.

We love you Baby B

Running Late

It's Thursday, I know, so goes my life. I feel like we are just in a constant game of catch-up, I never really feel prepared for the next thing. I am always behind. I think that having a 4th child really threw me for a loop and I don't feel like I have it together. So yes it is Thursday and I am late blogging even after moving it back a day so I feel like I am really late. Go me.
In other news Brevick is full of exploration. . . .
Ben had his birthday and we are so proud of him for reaching the rife old age of 31! What a great Guy! Really he is. He is a great father and role model to our kids and he works so hard for our family. He is a great example to me and I don't know what I would do without him!
He had a yummy steak dinner (I am so proud of myself because I cooked steak and it turned out really good! *sometimes it more resembles a charcoal brickette :)* Then we had cake. I used to be able to make great looking cakes but since moving to Glasgow for some reason they never turn out to what I have in my right. This one however tasted divine and it was oreo so he loved it! He celebrated by working on everything!
Pre-church picture! William and Charley have been working hard in their school and Emmerlyn has been perfecting her growling techniques.
 Learning to self feed.
We are adjusting to the time change slowly but surely. The kids are doing way better with it than Ben and I (go figure. . .) Life is good, it just keeps going.

I don't Remember

I don't know what we did this last week. Charley and Emmerlyn finished tumbling. William has a cold. Ben is working. Brevick is growing and starting to sleep better at night (Yay!) I am just keeping it running.
We started working on leprechaun traps (have you started yours? it is only in like 13 days!?!) the kids are having fun working on them.
Brevick is very mobile now so we are trying to arrange the furniture so he can't reach some things and block the outlets that have cords plugged in. So now our living room looks like a 9 month old arranged it :/. While I was working on this Emmerlyn was showing Brevick how she could jump rope with an extension cord. He thought it was hilarious!
Charley Celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday to day by wearing his pjs to school and getting to eat green eggs and ham. He had lots of fun but only came home with 1 slipper?
We got to drive 2 hours to Sydney on Sunday for a fireside after church. The kids did so good in the car I was amazed! It was a quick 5 hour trip and everyone was pretty tired when we got home. We love our ward/stake but we sure miss having a stake center just around the corner!
It has been SO COLD it hurts but hopefully by next week we should be up in the 60s and we are excited! The kids are getting cabin fever and need to go outside and run and scream and climb and play!
