August 2019 First Day of School!!!

Back to Bear lake

 We rented stand up paddle boards this time. Those were so fun!!!! 

William recovered himself in this picture but he got dumped a few minutes later.

 Oh hey mom, I forgot my goggles. Can you run get them? 

 Everyone needs goggles while in the tub don't cha know?

 Oh man, run away, somebody made a mess.

 Allyn came in late one night and after some banging and crashing we all came running out. She had knocked our picture of Jesus right off the wall. *J/K I think the sticky just lost it's grip it was just poor timing on her part* The picture still hasn't been replaced...

 New lighting install because he is my hero.

 More time outside, cutie little face. He loves water bottles. 

 Have you ever sharpened 100 pencils? Yeah it's way more than this, this was just the beginning but it is only a taste of the effort that a parent goes through to get their kids off to the first day of school.

 It was SO SO empty and SO SO quiet. Anchor and I were counting the minutes,

 Toast is his total and complete favorite food. 

 Welcome home committee after a long night at work. Nothing says 0500 like that. 

He turned 1, Just like that...

The days are long, the nights are longer, but, oh the years go by so fast.

I don't know how this happened like it did. I feel like it was just September but now you are 1. 

 You don't walk yet and you just barely started holding your own bottle.  Not because you did not posses the skills to do so but because you are an expert at getting others to do for you those things which you do not desire to do. You are sweet as pie with perfect cherubic cheeks you light up our home and we all adore you. You love all food especially sweets. 

For your cake, I let the kids do a hedgehog baking kids baking challenge.

We can't wait to watch you grow up. We love each and every minute with you.

Keeping with our newest tradition, the kids and Ben went to a movie, Anchor and I took a nap.

 We watched the city come alive with fireworks sitting on our deck sipping hot chocolate, it was truly the best seat in the house.

 Emmerlyn and I took turns taking these shots. She has a good eye. 

 Brevick was taking care of DJ's cats while they were out of town. When we went to check on them one day there was a mess to clean up but we couldn't find the cleaning supplies. Brevick was asking Gump where to find them.

 Gump was useless. We got it cleaned up but broke their cabinet door in the process. Then we spilled cleaner in the water dish so we had to wash that out and reset it. 

 During that time William was watching pets for a friend of ours. Their one dog got out everyday, then chicken wouldn't stay in it coupe. He decided the most well behaved pet in their menagerie was the guinea pig. 

William had his first Scout Camp. Here he is eating the breakfast of champions the morning of. He had a great time and loved every minute of it.

 When you borrow your baby brother's pants, they are shorts. *He wore these all day, it took the longest time for me to figure out where they had come from because I knew we did not have any khaki shorts..*

 He got home, he showered, he ate, he flopped on this couch and was out in about 45 seconds, duster in hand.

 Bear lake, contrary to my face, We had a lot of fun. It is our new favorite destination.

 He hated the sand which was so nice because then he would stay on the blanket. it made him really easy to watch.
