Well, not we but he. William has gotten up before the crack of dawn for the last couple of days to go duck hunting with his friends. He came back tired, hungry, and empty handed but full of good stories and a little caffeine. He really had a great time and it is good to see him getting out and trying new things even if they do cause me inordinate amounts of stress.
Just a couple of doggy pictures so we remember that we still have them. Jack is growing everyday and for the most part we really love him. Charley is learning that the downside to having a smart dog is you have to work with and challenge him everyday.
Pollee is still her huffy self but we love her anyway.
This picture is a good example of why she and Brevick have a love/hate relationship.
Ben was out of town in Kansas City for a business trip over General Conference weekend but we still pitched our tent and watched the whole thing. I love the family time and learning of our Savior and the kids love the snacks!
This guy is loving preschool and getting psych'd up for Halloween. He wears his bones sweatshirt every chance he gets and ask about it regularly.
Charley has decided to try wrestling so he started practice with the school team this last week and already has had a wrist injury. I think it will be good for him though and he is still in good spirits enjoying the practices so far. He also started Math Counts (like a math competitive league) after school so he is a busy guy that is almost always in need of a shower or a nap. He is a good guy though and I love seeing him trying new things and getting involved.
Brevick is starting the GATE program (gifted and talented) on Monday. This is an answer to prayer as he has been bored in school and refusing to attend as "it is a waste of my time". He had a double header in football last night and the lost. Both games. By a lot. Brevick scored the only 6 points between the two games so go him. He is good to just power up the middle when he gets to run the ball. Now we need to work on catching.
Emmerlyn got her backhandspring for one day but is still working on doing it consistently. She loves going to activity days and is practicing a song with a few other girls to sing in the primary program in a couple of weeks. She got some Barbie clothes that she can tie-dye and had been working hard at designing them.
We had parent teacher conference this week and all of the kids are doing great in their classes. The teachers only had good things to say about them. Brevick only missed 1 question on his math test which was to explain why the question before ended with that answer. he responded "because I did it and it works." The teacher was not impressed. I did NOT giggle in there but I did when I got to the car. Mr. Sassy Pants needs a challenge.
I am missing Allyn because I like her input around PTC she was full of good advice, great stories, and a fizzy pop.
