From the Mouth of Goobs

So Charley's school teacher is my visiting teaching partner and we were chatting last night and she relayed the sweetest story. They were talking about the word 'seal' in school and she was explaining the meaning to the kids and she said "like seal an envelope or a container etc" Charley raised his hand and said "I know another kind of seal" Mrs Overby was totally in teacher mode and it didn't click what he was talking about so she said "really like what?" To which Charley replied "like when your mom and dad get married in the Temple and they seal your family forever" She's was like I felt like an idiot. I felt so happy though because somewhere along the lines Charley is listening!!!

You got some great presents including a mermaid blanket!
You really wanted a Castle cake like the one from the store so we did our best. It worked out because then everyone got cake AND super messy sprinkle covered ice cream cones!!!
You got a tea set and tested it out the next morning with your brothers. You all had a great time!
You wanted to have Dad come to your preschool class and do your spotlight so he did and you helped him answer all of the questions about you.

Happy Birthday Squishy Bug!

So Old Blog, we Meet Again

Yeah life lately has kind of spun out of control and my poor routine is shot. I think I am one of those people that can only function well on a routine when I lose that, I lose EVERYTHING and most especially my mind. We have been up to a lot lately. The big kids finished soccer with a blast of cold 30* temps so that was fun :/
Ben finished up his tax deadline and also his peer review stuff so that is a weight off of his shoulders!!!
The kids and I loaded up a couple weeks ago and went to Glendive for a stake relief society activity. I got to sing a musical number with a few ladies from my ward and then we did a clothing swap which actually turned out really fun (I was a little skeptical to be honest and I debated on whether or not I was going to go!)
We cruised up to Missoula last Thursday and Friday to to some house hunting and we found some that we think might work, maybe. Thanks to Grandma Allen for meeting us there to play with our kids so we didn't have that chaos to deal with!!
Sunday was our primary program and the kids did SO good!!! Emmerlyn of course had a fever but she put on a tough front and sang loud as long as Ben didn't look at her. Every time he did she blushed and stopped singing *I was a little surprised because she NEVER sings in primary, I wasn't sure she knew the songs :) They all 3 gave their parts so well! I was so reverent sitting on the stand with the sunbeams and I wasn't even contemplating murder by the end. Brevick did good sitting with Ben in the audience.
On Monday we got up before dawn and beelined to Billings for an in depth dental appointment for William and Charley. They did so good!!!! They went under sedation so it was pretty intense for them. When I picked them up they were trying to eat gogurts and the struggle was real. William kept flopping it around mumbling that he couldn't find his mouth!  They were pretty out of it on the way home their heads kept flopping over on me and William was literally snuggling with his new tooth brush. When Ben was out getting gas I was doing so adjusting of seating in the car and Charley kept hitting me and saying "Hey, Hey, stop,  who are you?" Then a bit later he was staring at me and said "are you a witch?" HAHAHA I was wearing a black shirt so maybe? We got a milkshake and I was feeding it to the boys and every time I turned my head Charley was grabbing the spoon and trying to scoop it into his mouth. This was a struggle because he didn't quite have his coordination back! Charley was super anxious to watch G force and so we turned it on and William kept asking what movie it was (seriously like 8 times during it!) We survived the ordeal and made the whole trip in less then 12 hours. While Ben was with the boys at the dentist Emmerlyn, Brevick, and I went to a McDonalds that had perfect toys for them to play on they loved it. We ended our outing with a sprint through Walmart. Of course.

Potty Training a. . . No

He looks so dang cute and so dang BIG but alas. I don't think he was quite ready. He would use the potty no problem and then 5 minutes later have a flood of an accident. He would only go a little and hold the rest so I think we will give it a few more weeks while he thinks about it.
I loved General Conference this weekend it was SO wonderful. After the last session on Sunday Emmerlyn was asked if it was over, We told her it was and she remarked with tears "I wish it wasn't why can't it be 3 days not just 2?!?" I agree wholeheartedly but I think her reasons were more food and snuggling related :)
She was a good helper in cleaning up the post conference aftermath. These two LOVE to play with the vacuum so I put their curiosity to work!
Soccer was cancelled this week due to pouring rain both Monday and Tuesday. Guess the weather started to feel bad about all the rain so on Wednesday it snowed. All. Day. I think the seasons have changed and Fall is upon us.

A couple highlights from my phone.
Brevick destroyed his room and stripped while Emmerlyn slept like a rock. Crazy boy he has really been fighting sleep since we took away the binky and we are ALL over tired now.
He helped himself to William's clothes. He had such a great smile!
He also flooded the bathroom right before we needed to show our house. Low blow Brevick,
So far our house is just sitting, no luck yet. Hopefully something will change in the near future!
