January

That's it. Things have been just the same around here. We are busy, tired, going to school, staying up in the night, doing basketball, doing clogging. That is our week. William had to plan and help make some meals for one of his cub scouts badges so he choose hot dogs. He did a good job helping prepare it, he is such a good boy.
Have a good week!

Slacker Mom

Sometimes that is how I feel because for some reason I can't seem to get even close to everything done that I needed to. Like catching up on the last to weeks of this blog.
We were able to go back to Idaho after Christmas and visit all of our family, We loved seeing everybody and Wilson we sure missed you!!!! We are excited to see you soon. We had fun and the kids really liked being able to play with and talk to everybody. My arms got a killer workout rocking Brevick to sleep in his carseat for every nap and each bedtime. Ben was sick. The kids were also sick. We felt bad that the kids and I couldn't make it down to Utah to see our little cousin Isabell's blessing day but we heard it was beautiful! On our way home we ended up in some nasty weather but made it to Great Falls and thought we should be good to go the rest of the way. Well we got about 6 miles out of Great Falls and could not see anything except a few feet in front of us. On both sides of the road we passed FedEx vans that had run off the road. Then all the traffic stopped with lots of semis and a few cars in front of us. We sat, and sat, and sat. After awhile the semis started trying to turn around and the big FedEx truck turned and then a Walmart truck came through and hit him right behind the cab. Needless to say as the truck was sliding toward us I was a little freaked out. Thankfully we moved out of the way in time. A few minutes after that we were able to flag down a car coming the other way who stopped and let us get turned around (we didn't want the same fate as the truck drivers *who appeared to be ok, the FedEx dude was out and about talking to people.) We made it back to town to see that they had closed the road while we were on it and they were sending a police officer to help all the people still stranded out there. We were out there for about an hour and a half. Thankfully the kids did great. We spent the night in a hotel and looking like we were homeless spent most of the time at a McDonalds down the street that had a great playplace. We made it home about 24 hours after our original plan but we were safe and that was all that mattered. Since then we have been busy getting our house put back together after travelling and Christmas and just trying to get back into the swing of things. I am exhausted and feel like there is not nearly enough time in the day to get everything done.So I am delegating as seen below the kids are making their own lunches, this is a peanut butter and jelly assembly line. They do good work!
I hope that things slow down in the coming weeks but I know they won't. I hope Brevick stops waking up at 2 in the morning and staying awake for about 2 hours, I wonder how to fix that? I hope that we can just relax soon. . . .

Happy Birthday Goobies!!!!!!!

Oh Charley how we love you! I can't believe how fast you have grown up you are 5 years old now where did all the time go?
You wanted to take a candybar cake for a treat to your school, you wanted it to look like this
Easy to Make, No Bake, Extreme Candy Bar Cake - we used it as the prize for the dance contest at the carnival.
We didn't have that much stuff (nor did I think that the other preschool parents or your teacher would appreciate that amount of sugar going into all your little bodies) plus there are only 15 kids in your class,  so we made one with what we had, it looked like this.
You weren't impressed. So we had to regroup and start over so instead we made pizza cookies because you love ninja turtles right now.
You liked these better so we took them.
I got to go to your class and talk about how awesome you are. You told your friends that your favorite song was I am a Child of God and then you sang it for them. Your teacher said that was her new favorite song. You said your dad worked on stuff for his job (he is a CPA :). You said you liked to go on drives to Wolf Point (because we have done that like twice :) You said you want to be a police officer when you grow up so you can use a tazer, then you demonstrated to your class how that would look. It was so fun to see you with your birthday crown and waving your straw with a paper balloon on it all around. You were so excited to be the star of the week!

Your favorite food is Noodle dippers or cheese noodles and hot dogs
You love cereal
You are starting to read and love to be read to.
You are doing simple addition and love to do flashcards
You love computer games and mario kart on the WII
You earned your watch for being reverent in church.
You love to draw, paint, and color.
You love to run around outside and dig in stuff (mud, sand, snow, doesn't really matter what it is!)
You are so great with your brothers and sister they all love to play with you.

We love you!!!!
